Winner of the Redruth Charity Trust Award is Tegen-Rose Clements

It is with great pleasure that can announce that this year’s CBHSC winner of the Redruth Charity Trust Award is Tegen-Rose Clements. Tegen has been a member of CBHSC for 8 years where she has developed both her own personal swimming ability, and is now emerging into a teaching role.

For many years Tegen progressed up through the training squads to become an all-round competitive swimmer.  She was always well focused, hardworking and a great team swimmer for the club. Now swimming for fitness, Tegen is looking for further ways to follow her passion in swimming and has enrolled on a Teacher Level 1 Assistant course over the coming months.

Tegen has supported Sue’s Swim School in Helston and our swim teachers for a number of years. She is engaging and reassuring with our younger swimmers, and makes every session a fun and enjoyable experience for those around her.

In the last 6 months CBHSC have been able to open up the training hours to include all of our Learn To Swim squads. Having dedicated individuals able to teach our younger developing squads has taken some resourcing as we’ve reformed the club. Tegen brings a consistent, engaging and welcoming approach with all the Swordfish, Dolphins and Sharks that she works with.

CBHSC are proud to celebrate the part Tegen has played in the rebuilding and reforming of our club after the pandemic.
